How to embed slidely

In order to embed a slidely you need to click HTML when you are creating your post.
Follow the steps below then click HTML and copy the code onto the post.

How Do I Embed My Slidely Show In My Website/Blog?

To embed your Slidely:

1. Go to: http://Slide.ly/user and find the Slidely video you wish to share.
2. Click on its photo to open this Slidely’s page. 
3. Click on the "Share" button on the left side of the video:

AS Homework

1. You should have a minimum of 6 posts : research into front covers
2. You should have a t least one institutional post : this can be challenging so use the resource sheet to ensure you can complete this task. It would be even better to create several posts in which you show your understanding/ learning about institutions. 
3. Post: How Research has Informed my Planning and Creativity. Use your completed grid and create a bullet point list of your ideas so far. Then write a subheading: Targets and Further Research. Under this write a numbered list of target areas.
4. Now you know what you need to do in order to fill in the whole grid! Complete those tasks and meet your targets.
5. Post the three contents page analysis done in class.

Next, consider your TA feedback on Flickr. Post title: TA feedback from Flickr. 
Write here about your feedback and make a definite decision about which image to use.
Your homework is then to come in to Media Suite and work on your College Magazine front cover and mock up of the contents page.

DEADLINE
By 3rd October - your magazine front cover  and mock up of the contents page must be posted. You should also print your front cover and annotate the finished product.

Here, evaluate the end product: consider the layout, fonts, image, colours - try to say what you did well and the things you like about it. Also, be self aware and consider what you would like to improve on when you make your music magazine page.

A2 G324 Advanced Production blogs : there are four groups. Each group have their own link to the group blog. There are 10 candidates in total. Some candidates have a 'read more' tab at the bottom of posts due to very detailed work: students did this to enhance care and presentation. All students work: planning, construction and evaluation is on the blog however, discs have been burnt and sent containing better quality copies- for A2 the final music videos/ documentary/ ancillary tasks and for AS the final pages of the magazines.

Easter Homework

Revise for full mock by:
Revisit the mini mock and respond to the targets.
watch examples of ethnicity, class & status, regional identity and disability - add your notes to the A3 sheets.


The questions that must be addressed in the evaluation are: 
• In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real 
media products? 
• How does your media product represent particular social groups? 
• What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why? 
• Who would be the audience for your media product? 
• How did you attract/address your audience? 
• What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product? 
• Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product. 

Remember to evaluate, not explain. Think about success/ failures - look at micro examples. Also remember to use a range of digital technology. 

AS Homework:

Research more information for your case studies so far and produce more case studies from films that you can compare. Use the links on the G322 page to help. Focus on pre-production, production and post production.

You must come up to Media and work on your magazine pages as much as possible. It is imperative you ask Mrs B if there is anything you still don't understand about Elements 11. 

Make sure you complete all posts for planning and research. 

PHOTOSHOOT

Look at your research - look at music magazine front covers - is your photograph for your front cover good enough? If not, plan and shoot, plan and shoot - again and again!

Target Audience Analysis

Make sure your target audience research is posted.
Then in a separate post analyse your findings. 
Finally a third post - Update and changes made following TA research.

Remember to use a range of digital technology - eg you canshow findings in pie charts/ bar graphs - you could use Prezi or create a ppt then use slideshare. 

You have to have any changes secured and organised before you can begin making your changes. 

AS Homework

This week's homework is to use the planning sheet to plan three photo shoots and post your planning onto your blog. Also, use CeltX grabs of locations, costumes and props. These are task 20 and 21 on your schedule sheet.

These tasks need to be completed so that your photo shoots are ready and planned. This will enable you  to book the cameras.
